Student Success Center
Our service mission is to assist each unique student in a unique way to achieve his or her educational goals.
The Student Success Center (SSC) strives to provide an academic support system for students who need help reaching their goals. The SSC is located in room 412E in B.J. Harrison Library and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm while college classes are in session. A laser printer, computers with internet access, and most software programs required for MCC courses are available for students’ academic use.
Supportive Services
Tutoring services are offered free of charge by MCC students who have successfully completed courses such as computer concepts, mathematics, sciences, business/clerical, and foreign languages. Subject availability varies by semester.
Writing assistance is available during the fall and spring semesters. The writing assistant provides suggestions and specific instructions to help students successfully complete writing assignments for many MCC courses. Students are welcome to seek assistance at any stage of the writing process. Hours may vary per semester; help is available by dropping by the Student Success Center.
Math assistance is available from a mathematics faculty member during the fall and spring semesters. Hours may vary per semester; help is available by dropping by the Student Success Center.
Services for students with disabilities are arranged on an individual basis. This may include testing, alternative format textbooks, and/or classroom accommodations. Please speak with the Learning Services Specialist, Martha Schwandt for more information.
