MCC’s Pumpkin Jamboree is Oct. 26

Dressed up for Halloween MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College will host its annual “Pumpkin Jamboree” on Thursday, October 26, on the MCC campus. Trick or treating will take place in the residence halls, and there will be games and activities in the Student Activity Center 5:30 to 8 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

“This is a great opportunity for our campus community to connect with the Marshalltown community,” says Chris Brees, MCC Director of Student Engagement and Residence Life. “It’s also an opportunity for our students who have children to share an evening of fun activities in a friendly and safe environment. We have several different activities planned for the evening that will give our students the opportunity to interact with the youth of Marshalltown and surrounding communities.”

The night will feature pumpkin painting, cookie decorating and face painting. Other activities will include Halloween carnival games including an inflatable corn maze, zombie laser tag and so much more. There will also be creepy crawly animals and insects, fall food and the MCC Cheer & Dance team will be holding a bake sale.

Come on out for a frightfully good time! All events are free and open to trick-or-treaters and their families. All games and events are geared toward children ages 10 and younger.

Attendees should enter through the south entrance for MCC and follow signs in the parking lot to begin at the Student Activity Center. If you have any questions email Brees at Chris.Brees@iavalley.edu.
