COVID-19 Update as of Mar. 26, 2020

Check https://www.iavalley.edu/about-the-district/covid-19-updates/ for additional updates regarding IVCCD’s responses to COVID-19.

Happily, there is no new emergency news today! Our campuses are open to select students and employees only. Online classes are going smoothly; lab classes and events remain canceled until mid-April. Students can access services and staff through email. Our switchboards are accepting calls, but most staff are not on campus at this time. We hope you and your families are staying healthy and enjoying today’s spring weather. MCC computer labs are now available by appointment for current students. Call or text 641-328-9710 from Monday-Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Career Services for Students

 Career CoachCareer Coach Website

Career Coach is a free online tool designed to help you find a good career by providing the most current local data on wages, employment, job postings, and associated education and training.

Through a simple keyword search, students and job-seekers can learn about the employment prospects of careers they want to research. The real-time information is customized to the MCC’s geographic region and includes detailed wage estimates and up-to-date job postings associated with any career. Users are directed to MCC’s programs when searching for specific jobs.

College Central Network

Career services are available for MCC students on a limited basis in MCC Admissions Office, located in the north entrance of campus. Because of MCC’s affiliation with Iowa Valley Community College District, MCC students and alumni (and area employers) have access to a variety of online tools and resources via IVCCD’s subscription to College Central Network.
