Broadcast & Digital Media

Lights, Camera, Action

Interested in “on-air” work such as television reporter or radio personality? Maybe you’d prefer behind-the-scenes positions such as video camera operator, video editor, producer, or director. Either way, MCC’s Broadcasting/Digital Media program offers the training to get you there!

Broadcasting/Digital Media specializes in training students not only to fill television and radio positions, but also corporate digital media positions that produce online content.

Filmmaking is another exciting area of the program. Students take a Digital Film Production class, where they learn all aspects of filmmaking and actually produce their own short film project. Students also go to an Iowa film festival and visit a real film set during production.
