MCC to Host 2026 Student Red Carpet Film Festival
MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College (MCC) will roll out the red carpet on April 18, 2026, at 6:30 pm, for the highly anticipated second annual Student Film Festival, a celebration of cinematic creativity and storytelling. The event will take place in DeJardin Hall, featuring original short films produced by MCC students as well as talented filmmakers from area high schools.
“The festival is more than a showcase it’s a chance for young creators to see their vision come to life on the big screen and connect with an audience that appreciates their hard work,” said Montana Morgan, event organizer and student at MCC “We’re proud to bring together emerging filmmakers and give them a platform to shine.”
Guests can expect an evening filled with diverse films, creative expression, and red-carpet energy, highlighting the next generation of storytellers in the heart of Iowa. Awards will be presented in categories recognizing excellence in cinematography, directing, writing, and performance. Seating is limited to 100 people.
