MCC Industrial Trades exhibit in MCC Ray Frederick Gallery begins April 6
A look back at the first industrial trades exhibition. The upcoming April 6 showcase marks the second time MCC has transitioned technical projects from the workshop to the gallery, highlighting the intersection of vocational skill and creative design.
MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College and the Ray Frederick Gallery are proud to present a unique exhibition featuring artwork created by the college’s Industrial Trades programs. The exhibit officially opens on Monday, April 6, with an opening reception held from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.
This showcase highlights the intersection of technical skill and creative artistry. The featured pieces were designed and crafted by both MCC faculty and students from a variety of technical disciplines, including Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Iowa Valley Grinnell Gunsmith Technology, Natural Gas Technician, and Welding. Many of the works on display will be available for purchase.
Organized by the MCC Engagement Committee, the exhibit aims to celebrate the diverse talents found within the college’s vocational programs. The show will remain open to the public through Friday, April 17, concluding at noon.
The Ray Frederick Gallery, located on the MCC campus, is open weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm. For more information regarding the exhibit, please contact MCC Art Professor Tim Castle at 641-844-5776 or Tim.Castle@iavalley.edu.
