MCC inducts 61 into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

Marshalltown, IA – Phi Theta Kappa advisors Cecil Holland and Jen Gunderson are pleased to announce that 61 students were accepted into the Alpha Iota Rho Chapter at Marshalltown Community College this spring. Students were honored at an induction ceremony on Tuesday, April 8 at MCC. College staff and administration were in attendance for the ceremony.
Inductees and those in attendance were addressed with a message from MCC Provost Matt Schmit, MCC Faculty Senate President, Professor Brian Agnitsch, and guest speaker, Iowa Valley Community College District President, Dr. Anne Howsare Boyens.
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges. To qualify for membership, students must enroll in a diploma or two-year degree program with a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher and have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours.
