MCC inducts 26 into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
MARSHALLTOWN – Phi Theta Kappa advisors Pele Waddilove and Cecil Holland are pleased to announce that 26 students were accepted into the Alpha Iota Rho Chapter at Marshalltown Community College this spring. Students were honored at an induction ceremony on Tuesday, March 26 at MCC. College staff and administration were in attendance for the ceremony.
Inductees and those in attendance were addressed with a message from MCC Provost, Dr. Robin Lilienthal and guest speaker, Iowa Valley Community College District President, Dr. Anne Howsare Boyens.
Phi Theta Kappa inducted two honorary members at the ceremony for their continued support and dedication throughout the years. Alpha Iota Rho welcomes MCC Dean of Enrollment Services and Student Life, Angie Redmond and IVCCD Senior Marketing Coordinator, Michele Frost as new members.
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges. To qualify for membership, students must enroll in a diploma or two-year degree program with a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher, and have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours.
