MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College is excited to announce a special event celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month. Tropicante, a talented group of professional musicians from Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina, will be performing a lively concert on Friday, October 11th from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the Faust Student Union.

Tropicante will share upbeat dance songs from various Latin cultures, inviting the audience to join in the fun and experience the vibrant energy of Latin America. This event is a unique opportunity to explore different cultures through music and informal audience participation.

MCC’s Community Engagement Committee made up of staff, faculty, and students will be hosting Tropicante. The concert is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, which supports community engagement through music.
