FAFSA Fiesta Coming to Marshalltown Community College

Marshalltown Community College (MCC) is hosting a FAFSA Fiesta on Wednesday, August 14, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the parking lot outside Admissions. This festive event is open to anyone planning to attend college now or in the future, not just future MCC students.

The FAFSA Fiesta is designed to make the financial aid process more accessible and enjoyable. Students and families can come “taco ‘bout” financial aid with MCC staff while enjoying delicious food from local food trucks.

Attendees will have the opportunity to chat with financial aid experts, ask questions, and get help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A variety of popular food trucks will be on-site, including Nina’s Tacos, Kayella’s, Big Acai Bowl, Kona Ice, Most Wanted Coffee, and Lillie Mae Chocolates.

As an added bonus, all who attend will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card.

“We want to make the college application process as stress-free as possible,” said Rachael Koehler, Director of Financial Aid at MCC. “The FAFSA Fiesta is a fun and informative event where students and families can learn about financial aid opportunities and get their questions answered.”
