STEM Club is open to all students interested in a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Our goal is to increase the number of students majoring in STEM programs at Marshalltown Community College by educating students about the career and educational opportunities available to them. We work to connect MCC students to summer undergraduate research experiences at Iowa State University, the Ames Laboratory, and the University of Iowa. In addition, our students have attended STEM conferences aimed at connecting students with internships and research experiences around the state. The Club’s past activities have included Lab Nights, Halloween Haunted Trail, BGM STEM Fair and REU Symposium.
