Donate to MCC Tiger Vault
Thursday / October 1, 2020
MARSHALLTOWN – The start of a student’s college education is exciting and can be an intimidating time especially if they are living away from home. It’s important to try and bring all of the essentials when traveling to college but sometimes students forget, run out, or don’t have the financial funds to purchase the supplies they need. Marshalltown Community College has a program known as the Tiger Vault, that is available at no cost for students that are looking for these essential items.
MCC, in collaboration with Hope United Methodist Church and Thrivent Financial, will be holding a donation drive to help replenish the Tiger Vault for this year’s students. The event will be on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 am to 2 pm at Hope United Methodist Church, 2203 S. 3rd Ave., Marshalltown.
MCC would like to request donations of cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. These would include: disinfectant wipes, dish soap, dish towels, sponges, paper towels, bathroom cleansers for the shower/sink/toilet, window cleaner, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, deodorant, toothpaste/mouth wash, disposable razors, shaving cream, bath soap, mesh shower scrunchies, shampoo/conditioner, body lotions, feminine hygiene products, band-aids and Kleenex.
Monetary donations are also welcome and accepted.
If you are unable to stop out on Oct. 10 but would still like to donate to the Tiger Vault you can stop out to the MCC campus, 3700 S. Center St. and enter through door #1 and leave donations at the front desk.
