MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College (MCC) and Iowa Valley Grinnell (IVG) officially had a soft opening on Monday, July 6. The campuses are open by appointment, and have been registering students through scheduled appointments, over the phone, via the website and through Zoom since March.

Door number one at MCC, located in the Northwest corner of campus by Admissions, is now open. Iowa Valley Grinnell’s front door is also open. Visitors are still required to wear a mask when they visit campus but are encouraged to stop in to register, ask questions and set up a campus visit.

“We are really excited to welcome students back to campus,” commented Angie Redmond, MCC Dean of Enrollment & Student Life. “We have really missed seeing students, and look forward to this step in reopening. We are finding that a lot of students are making the decision to study local during this pandemic.”

Fall semester classes begin Monday, August 24. If you would still prefer to register by phone you can call MCC at 641-752-7106 and Iowa Valley Grinnell at 641-236-0513 or you can register online at mcc.iavalley.edu.
