Friday / October 28, 2016
Two Marshalltown Community College staff members were invited by Black Hills Energy to attend Gov. Terry Branstad’s signing of the Careers in Energy Week proclamation last week in Des Moines. Lara Thoms (fifth from left) and Ron Estabrook (sixth from left) said the signing provided an opportunity to meet with state leaders about the importance of the Energy industry and to shine the spotlight on colleges like MCC that provide career training for the Energy industry. Careers in Energy Week was observed Oct. 17-21. Thoms is MCC’s I-HUM Grant & Career Services Coordinator and Estabrook is the Gasline Technician Faculty.
