MCC Phi Theta Kappa to host Nov. 7 Blood Drive
Thursday / October 27, 2016
Donating blood is safe, simple and it saves lives! It takes just one hour to make a life-saving blood donation, which will impact the lives of up to three different hospital patients. You can make a difference in your community by helping to maintain the local blood supply when you donate blood with LifeServe Blood Center and Marshalltown Community College on Monday, Nov. 7.
The MCC Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is sponsoring its fall blood drive on Nov. 7 from 9 am to 1 pm in the Babe Harder Gymnasium on the MCC campus. The student organization has been sponsoring the blood drives at MCC since fall 1999. With one of its hallmarks of “Service,” MCC honor society members are doing their part in helping save lives of those in need.
Please contact chapter advisors Pele Waddilove at (641) 844-5726 or P.J. Colbert (641) 844-5777 to schedule an appointment to donate. If you are on campus, stop by Room 544-F (Nursing Department) for Pele or Room 501 for P.J. With one blood donation, you can help a family in their critical time of need. Because at the end of the day, it’s about achievement, it’s about service and helping our communities – most importantly, it’s about life! Call for an appointment today!
