Marshalltown CVA seeking donations from community for troop care packages

The Collegiate Veterans Association (CVA), Marshalltown Chapter, is currently accepting donations from the community to put together special care packages for troops overseas. Packages will be shipped to members of the 10th Combat Support Hospital at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

The CVA will be collecting items from now until April 15. Donations may be dropped off at MCC (3700 South Center Street, Marshalltown) from 8 am – 4:30 pm in the MCC Student Services area, Nursing Department (Room 544F), or Veterans Lounge (Room 405).

Examples of donations include powdered drink mix, meal condiments (ketchup, mustard), packaged snacks, candy, gum, toiletries, personal care items (lip balm, lotion, eye drops), cotton socks & underwear, reading material, word games/puzzles, batteries, writing materials, and phone cards. Cash donations will also be accepted.
