Two campus locations
Marshalltown Community College has the convenience of two campuses for you to choose. The Marshalltown campus is located right off Highway 30 in Marshalltown at 3700 South Center St. Iowa Valley Grinnell campus is located in Grinnell, IA., at 123 6th Ave., W.
Marshalltown Community College and Iowa Valley Grinnell are part of the Iowa Valley Community College District which also includes Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls.
Buildings and facilities
On Marshalltown Community College’s main campus, there is the north entrance, which will take you to Student Services, the library, Student Union, college administration, and classrooms in the north part of the building.
MCC’s Agriculture Building and Community Gardens are located on the northeast side of campus. The area is used as an outdoor classroom to practice diversified agriculture and to experiment with varied techniques. It is also used to incubate new farm or food related business.
The Ray Frederick Art Gallery is located in room 306. It can most easily be accessed by driving into the north entrance and following the road to the back of the campus. Park in the back lot and enter the building by the gazebo. You’ll walk through the Student Union, and when you get to the main hallway take a left.
Since 1968, MCC has operated its own Dental Clinic that provides an opportunity for the dental assisting students to work with area dentists. The goal of the clinic is to expand the students’ skills and to provide an additional source of quality access to dental care to the community.
The South entrance will take you to the Student Activity Center (look for the blue roof), Babe Harder Gym, Iowa Valley Continuing Education and the Iowa Valley District Administration building. The south entrance can also be used to go to the athletic fields and student housing.
The Orpheum Theater Center is located in downtown Marshalltown at the east end of Main Street. Opening in 2010, the facility houses a movie house, Black Box Theater, gallery and exhibit space, and a venue for local corporate seminars, civic meetings and luncheons.
