MCC’s Pumpkin Jamboree is Oct. 24
Tuesday / October 16, 2018
Marshalltown Community College will host its 8th annual “Pumpkin Jamboree” on Wednesday, October 24, on the MCC campus. Trick or treating will take place in the residence halls from 6 to 7 pm, and there will be games and activities in Babe Harder Gym from 6 to 8 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
“This is a great opportunity for our campus community to connect with the Marshalltown community,” says Chris Brees, MCC Director of Student Engagement and Residence Life. “It’s also an opportunity for our students who have children to share an evening of fun activities in a friendly and safe environment. We have several different activities planned for the evening that will give our students the opportunity to interact with the youth of Marshalltown and surrounding communities.”
The night will feature pumpkin painting and cookie decorating. Other activities include face painting, beanbag toss, ring toss, bingo, web splat and bucket toss.
Come on out for a frightfully good time! All events are free and open to trick-or-treaters and their families. All games and events are geared toward children ages 12 and younger. Walk-ins are welcome but we appreciate if families would RSVP by Oct. 18 to Daniel.Juhl@iavalley.edu. The event is sponsored by MCC Residence Life and Student Engagement.
